    Conflict Minerals Statement<\/h5>\t\t\t

    The Dodd Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act came into effect on January 1, 2013 and Section 1502 on Conflict Minerals requires compliance from all public companies listed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (S.E.C.) under sections 13(a) and 15(d). The law requires these companies to examine their supply chain to determine if they manufacture or contract to manufacture products that contain conflict minerals that are necessary to the functionality or production of those products.<\/p>\n

    If such products contain conflict minerals, then the company must determine if the conflict minerals originated from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC)or nine adjoining countries i.e. perform a Reasonable Country of Origin Inquiry (RCOI).<\/p>\n

    EMS realizes this may place additional reporting requirements on our customers and our industry is encouraging the Original Component Manufacturers (OCM\u2019s)to make this information easily accessible on their websites.<\/p>\n

    EMS, as an electronic contract manufacturer, procures components and material as directed by our customer\u2019s Bill of Materials and Approved Vendor Lists (AVL).<\/p>\n

    EMS purchases the majority of the components from distributors who have no visibility into the country of origin of the products manufactured by the OCM\u2019s. As a result, EMS suppliers do not certify whether the products are \u201cconflict free\u201d as defined in the referenced regulations. Information on products\u2019 country of origin should be obtained directly from the component manufacturer.<\/p>\n

    \u201cEMS will refrain from any action which knowingly contributes to the financing of conflict and we commit to comply with relevant U.S. laws and regulations regarding sanctions and resolutions. EMS will immediately suspend or discontinue engagement with upstream suppliers where we identify a reasonable risk that they are sourcing from, or linked to, any party committing serious human-rights abuses.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    RoHS Compliance<\/h5>\t\t\t

    As a contract Manufacturer, EMS, Inc, only certifies its own processes and parts purchased by EMS to be RoHS compliant based on OEM provided manufacturer part numbers, material and internal verification. Customer bears all responsibility for RoHS compliance verification for any parts supplied to EMS.
